We are seeking a skilled and passionate Precision Farming Operation to join our dynamic team. As a Precision Farming Operation, you will play a vital role in coordinating with our contract farming operator partner, overseeing the livestock planning and execution. You will collaborate with our precision farming specialist, farmers, and internal teams to ensure optimal livestock practices and maximize result.
What you will do but not limited to:
- Collaborate with our contract farming operator partner to define livestock planning and targets, ensuring alignment with Indico's objectives.
- Monitor and analyse livestock data collected by our partner's field agents, collaborating with the team to conduct preliminary analysis and ensure proper growth and adherence to best practices.
- Work closely with the Agri-tech Product Team and have daily sync-up meeting with the team to address relevant issues or support needed.
- Work closely with the Procurement team to identify required materials and equipment for operational livestock. Calculate budget estimates and facilitate the purchase and distribution of necessary resources to farmers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver training programs for farmers, promoting the adoption of farming techniques and sustainable practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements and research in the multiple livestock’s commodities, sharing insights and recommendations with the team to enhance Indico's overall performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry, Bio-management or similar major.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the field of livestock, have experience in multiple livestock commodities.
- Strong understanding of milking, meat cutting techniques will be a plus point.
- Familiarity with the procurement process and ability to calculate budget estimates for livestock resources.
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting through data processing tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other data processing tools. An expertise in statistics is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with farmers and internal stakeholders.
- Passionate about sustainable and improving the livelihoods of farmers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Problem solving skills when faced with new challenges in terms of data collecting and recommendations based on data insights.
