Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at Moladin, you will lead a Squad (Engineering Product Team) that focuses on a specific domain. In this role, you will manage individual contributors (ICs) and be responsible for delivering product and engineering initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance of Tech OKR and Scorecards.

Responsibilities

• You will manage individual contributors who act as squad leads, overseeing engineers from multiple disciplines (Backend, Web, Android, QA, and SDET).
• Working closely with Product Manager / Associate Product Manager, Business Development Team, and Technical Program Manager to ensure department’s product initiatives can be achieved.
• Report directly to the Engineering Manager II and ensure the delivery of squad level OKRs and Engineering score cards.
• Contribute to the day to day engineering excellence and resolve production issues according to the given SLA.
• Be responsible for grooming engineers through regular sharing sessions, creating learning modules, and contributing to the new engineering onboarding process.
• Actively participate in the hiring process by conducting interview sessions and creating interview questions.
• Create RFCs for complex initiatives and be responsible for executing deliverables.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience in software development industry.
• Have at least 1 year experience as an Tech Lead / Senior Engineers responsible for multiple projects.
• Have at least 2 year experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum amp; Kanban) and proficiency in Project Management tools such as JIRA.
• A generalist with specific expertise in either Backend, Android, Front-end, QA, SDET, or DevOps.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Expert with one or several cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure services and technologies.
• Proficient in one of these programming languages: Node JS, Go, JAVA, or Kotlin.
• Experience in building IT infrastructure from scratch.
• Experienced in handling highly available system within a high-throughput throughput transactional environment.
